NOTE TO READER (Dequin)

WITH WHAT I have written so far you may imagine I barely look up from my laptop at all that is happening. The truth is that I have no such device. You may have noticed that in some photos I carry an A4 spiral bound notebook. On this I scribble thoughts at spare intervals - on buses, waiting for food etc. Then - when I have an opportunity - every few days - I grab a few hours in an internet cafe, entering my thoughts - setting the date and time to the occurrence of the event.
