RECIPE FOR CHINA SMELL (Outside Kunming Airport)

I'VE DISCUSSED this with a number of people and we seem to be in agreement that China has a very distinctive smell, no matter where you go. You catch whiffs of it in Chinatown, Sydney. To obtain this smell, take:

* a dash of coal dust
* a hint of peanut oil
* slap on some rotting cabbage
* serve with a splash of urine and voila! Welcome to China.
