BIG YELLOW TAXI (Kunming Airport)

IN BEIJING, all the taxis are true-blue (red) locally manufactured models - that look like Daihatsu Charade rip-offs. In Shanghai - the taxis are all very American looking Fords and GMs. Now in Yunnan - different province, different administration and the taxis are all VW sedans.

We piled in and I smiled as Jo reached for the non-existent seatbelt. We barrelled along the Kunming highway dodging cars, trucks, motorbikes, mopeds, bicycles, pedestrians and the odd dog.

I SMS'd Dad - his response came back right away! Cool!
