MEAT WITH THREE VEG (Zhong Dian)

AT THE Hazel cafe I ordered the chicken dish and waited. I was a little worried when I saw something pecking around in the backyard - but much relieved when they turned out to be ducks.
Whilst waiting for the food a black cat, whom we named Chairman Miao, came and sat on my lap. His policy on lapsitting was firm and determined - he refused to get off. Jo was very impressed at what a 'good commie cat' he was.

Dinner was chicken casserole with carrot, potato and sliced lotus root. Jo had egg noodles. Kathryn had bok choy and tofu.
