NOT MY JOB (Zhong Dian)

I SAT across the lane from our accomodation in the Hazel Cafe. On inspection the only ones manning the place were the ducks in the backyard. One of them informed me that it was not in his contract to serve coffee - so I went and sat out the front to wait.

The cafe - like our guesthouse was next to a sloped cobblestone laneway - as I sat there drinking in the atmosphere, women with pink headress and baskets on their backs make their way slowly up the hill. One woman even drags a tricycle with a utility tray on the back.
